Testimonials

"I’m pleased to recommend Theo Arraj as an artist well-known in Kāpiti for his vibrant and
varied mural work throughout the district. Theo’s artworks have had a significant impact on
the visual landscape of Kāpiti, and have really contributed to the community’s appreciation of
how street art and murals uplift and enhance our community.
Theo has completed many arresting mural projects for Kāpiti Coast District Council and local
Kāpiti organisations and businesses. He is very responsive to what people would like for the
particular site, and his concepts come from a place of real authenticity. He brings to all his
work a sincere philosophy of art empowering people and the power of art to “save”. Theo’s
concepts vary in style from abstract to representational, graphic to almost illusionary,
reflecting his ability to respond to each project in an individual way.
Theo’s work is of high technical quality. His artworks in the district have endured well longer
than murals often do, without obvious deterioration of colour or paintwork.
Theo is a generous artist who has worked on projects with young people participating in
creating murals, and brings an in-depth understanding of how young people can grow from
expressing themselves as street artists to making art their career. He has also advised
Council on mural and street art projects."

- Rosie Salas. Advisor Arts, Museums and Heritage. Kapiti Coast District Council

"We engaged the services of Theo to design and execute murals at CentrePort.

Theo demonstrated professionalism, maintained a clean work environment, and adhered to all necessary Health and Safety protocols.

He successfully interpreted the project brief and incorporated his artistic expertise as needed.

Collaborating with Theo was a positive experience, and we are highly satisfied with the final results, which have garnered praise from many.

I would not hesitate to recommend Theo to others."

- Kylie Boyd. Service and Delivery Manager at CentrePort Wellington.

"Theo painted a powerful full scale mural on an enormous water reservoir in our neighbourhood. It was a long and ambitious project. Theo is just lovely to work with. He’s reliable, patient, authentic and very hardworking. His talent is obvious. I hope we can team up again in the future!"

"I recently commissioned Theo Arraj to create an art mural for our new Kapiti Neuro Therapy Room.

We wanted to make a connection between the existing business Kapiti Art Therapy and the new business Kapiti Neuro Therapy.

I met Theo in the beginning of November 2019 and we talked about our vision for our business.

Theo came back to me with a concept and I loved his creative approach and the colours he chose, as he managed to perfectly integrate our brand colours into the art.

Theo, had to cope with unforeseen problems and poor weather conditions but he still managed to finish the painting in time.

I could not be happier with the finished artwork; I absolutely love it.

Theo is an amazing artist and is very professional in all aspects of his work, his friendly nature makes it easy to interact with him.

We love our Art piece very much, and have named hear Wairua which means spirit.

Thank you so much Theo for giving us such a amazing art work."

Corinne Allan, Kapiti Neuro Therapy

"Thank you for working with us to create a wonderful piece of art reflecting our whanau business.

You took the time to discuss with us our vision and we feel you captured this so well in the final result.

We appreciate how prompt and efficient you were in completing the work for us and we are excited at the prospect of using your services again in the future."

- Darren & Lisa Davis, Davis Building Group

"Our construction company were looking for a modern eye catching logo for our containers.

Our containers move from site to site and we wanted people to get a bit of wow factor when they saw them.

Thankfully we were recommend to look at graffiti art work.

When we did our google search we found Theo as an artist.

We were pleasantly surprised to meet this professional young man.

He was able to provide us with guidance and recommendations.

We decided on 3 concepts that he was able to price for us and give us time lines to complete the work.

The results on site have been outstanding.

We have received a huge amount of support. People love the colours and appreciate the difficulty to paint containers.

We have been told people drive by just to take photos of the art work.

Theo has been great to work with and we have a huge appreciation for the time and the detail involved.

We have used his work and examples as inspiration when talking with youth about putting positive energy towards following your dreams.

A1 homes fully supports the outstanding and professional work that Theo Arraj has completed."

- Paul Southey, Director at A1 Homes Wairarapa

"I have worked with Theo over the last two years, and he has created eight artworks for me around the town I live in, to add colour and vibrancy to neglected places.  On each occasion I have given him a very rough idea of what I hoped for and each time he has nailed the concept with his own artistic flair and created something that is cross-generational in its appeal.

He (and his brother on a couple of occasions) is a joy to work with, courteous, passionate and reliable - I am looking forward to our next projects together!"

- Sue Lusk, Destination Waikanae

"Theo is an absolute pleasure to work with, and we're super happy with the mural he painted in our garden. We were impressed with his professionalism, thoughtfulness, and artistic process from start to finish. Working from our home office is so much nicer now with such a beautiful view!"

- Valerie and Timo Reitnauer from Kapiti Goodies
